Biir is an Ethiopic Keyboard and Reader. It is a unique approach to writing Amharic and other Ethiopic languages.
The primary(geez) characters are shown on the screen. To write the modified versions of the same character the user presses the geez letter followed by the 'kitiya' mark shown at the top row.

This version makes major changes of appearance.
Most of the changes are meant to make Biir Ethiopic look and feel more like the standard (EN US ) keyboard.
Separates the Ethiopic characters into primary and 'mokishe' and puts the 'mokishe' on their own screen.
Geez numbers are availabe on iPhone as well.
There is no change on the method.
